Curriculum
A plan for each module is outlined below to help clarify the content of each module. Our UPS is that LASA tutors are all working professional actors, filmmakers and directors who emphasise film project production, we shoot two short films in each of our Modules, 1 to 3 and then a feature length film project in Module 4. Instead of just having showreel material at the end of your years study students will have professional screen credits added onto the IMDB.com the worlds biggest movie database.
Breakdown
It's challenging to find a screen acting institution that truly embraces transparency in their teaching! Many tend to be vague, allowing them the freedom to cover unrelated topics like script-writing, horse-riding, archery, crawling around the floor to find your inner animal or paying to sight read for days, when the tecnique when taught in hours, could be easily practised in your own time. While these skills can be fun, they often belong in other courses. At our institution, we promise to stay focused and dedicated to teaching only screen acting and essential self-promotion techniques for aspiring screen actors.
We offer monthly Materclasses from name acting talent to share their individual unique and personal insights and experiences into becoming a sucessful actor.

MODULE 1
Eight week Intensive Acting Course
Get ready to dive into the exciting world of acting with our Introduction to Screen Acting course, perfect for those with little or no experience! If you love films and TV and have been inspired by unforgettable performances, this is your chance to the techniques that bring characters to life.
In this dynamic and-on course, you'll explore the art of TV and Film Acting in a fun, supportive environment. Our experienced tutors will lead you through engaging on-camera exercises with instant playback, helping you master the skills needed to shine on screen. You'll perform duologues, gain confidence, and discover various acting styles and techniques.
Throughout this module, you'll build a solid foundation in screen acting, enabling you to deliver captivating performances. You'll rehearse for the camera, understand industry terminology, engage your physicality and voice, and learn how to unlock your character. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to produce two thrilling film projects: a gripping prison drama/police procedural and an imaginative sci-fi adventure. Join us and unleash your inner actor!

MODULE 2
Eight week Intermediate Acting Course
Where we explore the history of cinema and television understand the evolution of. You'll get hands on experience with state-of-the-art equipment and learn how to harness the power of smartphone to capture professional images in any environment. Join us as we shoot projects in stunning locations around London and then master the various techniques of post-production on your filmed monologue recordings, short films, and self-tapes to elevate your work above the competition. Be taught how to record superb sound to raise the standards of your filmed content and how to promote your work and your self using the latest social media app and their tools to ensure super smooth post production and enviable results, to create highly watchable content so that you quickly become and indemand actor/actress.

An introduction to acting for adverts, teaching you the skills to be an in-demand performer in this highly lucarative line of screen acting, with test case examples. We'll show you how to take your filmmaking acting skills to the next level!

MODULE 3
Eight week Advanced Acting Course
In this exciting module, we dive into the world of non-verbal communication, exploring how actors use their body language to express their inner thoughts and emotions without a word!
We'll also embark on a thrilling journey through accents, including regional, RP, Mid-Atlantic English, and various American accents, as we focus on specialization and creating dynamic performance options.
Get to unleash your creativity with creation, character development, and techniques that will make you feel confident in any acting situation!
We'll explore the fascinating realm of props, understanding "your business," essential props, and how to enhance your character through clever prop use.
Plus, you'll get an exhilarating introduction to guerrilla, low-budget, and independent filmmaking!
We'll take a deep dive into popular genres, helping you discover your niche and what to expect as you build your professional CV in this vibrant field.
Prepare for castings with a comprehensive overview of British and international casting agents and their specialties (think TV, film, advertising, and more!). You'll receive invaluable tuition and engage in practical rehearsals for casting/auditioning, all while receiving constructive feedback to boost your confidence and refine your casting techniques.

MODULE 4
Eight week Feature film Course
We will plan and make a tailor made feature length film in which all students will co-star. When completed the movie will be screened at national and international film festivals. At the end of Module 4 promotional head shots will be taken for each student and we offer temporary representation to all graduating students until they sign for individual representation.
